Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 30, 2026. Draft — not reviewed by a lawyer. This policy will be finalized before Waytable charges anyone.

1. What we collect

  • Account info: your email address if you create an account. Guests play without one.
  • Game content: table names, characters, chat messages, dice rolls, and story state for the tables you join or host.
  • Usage metering: a log of your AI calls (which model, how many tokens, which table) so hosting costs can be attributed fairly. This log is not visible to other players.
  • Display name: the name you choose to appear as, stored on your device.

We do not collect payment information today — there is nothing to buy yet.

2. AI providers

To narrate your game, your table's story state and actions are sent to our AI providers (currently Anthropic and Google). Their handling of that data is governed by their own policies. We send only what the game needs — never your email or account details.

3. Who can see your game

Anyone holding a table's code can see that table's story, characters, and party chat. Public tables are also listed in the in-app lobby. Treat table codes like a shared secret, and use private tables for campaigns you want to keep off the lobby list.

4. What we don't do

We don't sell your data. We don't show you ads. We don't track you across other sites.

5. Deletion

Hosts can permanently delete their tables from the lobby. If you want your account and associated data deleted, contact us and we'll do it.

6. Changes

We'll update this policy as Waytable grows (especially when paid plans launch) and note the new date at the top.
