Terms of Service
Last updated: September 30, 2026. Draft — not reviewed by a lawyer. These terms will be finalized before Waytable charges anyone.
1. The service
Waytable is an AI-guided tabletop roleplaying game. An AI dungeon master narrates your adventure, tracks your party, and generates occasional reaction images. The game is provided as-is for entertainment.
2. Accounts
You may join a table as a guest with just a table code. Hosting a table requires an account. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe and for everything done under your account.
3. Fair use of AI features
AI narration and image generation cost real money per call. To keep the game affordable for everyone, usage is rate-limited (currently 20 AI turns and 10 images per hour per user) and restricted to an approved list of models. Deliberately circumventing these limits — for example with automated or scripted play — is prohibited and may result in suspension.
4. Your content
You own the stories, characters, and messages you create at the table. By using Waytable you grant us a license to store and transmit that content as needed to run the game (including sending prompts to our AI providers). Table content is visible to everyone who holds that table's code.
5. AI-generated content
Narration, NPC dialogue, and images are generated by AI models and may be inaccurate, inconsistent, or surprising. Don't rely on them for anything beyond the game.
6. Acceptable use
Don't use Waytable to harass other players, generate illegal or hateful content, probe or attack the service, or resell access to the AI features. Hosts may remove disruptive players from their tables.
7. No warranty
Waytable is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for lost game progress, tables, or characters.
8. Changes
We may update these terms as the game grows (especially when paid plans launch). Continued use after changes means you accept them.
